The goal of the owners of this project was to add additional gathering space and larger bedrooms to this 1300 square foot home for their growing family. The owner did not want to have to look at the kids bedrooms every day and wanted a side entry off the kitchen. The solution was to add a second story to the home and provide additional space for second floor bedrooms and a bathroom. The second goal was to shape the home into a lodge style home. Adding a 16/12 pitch roof pushing out the lake side of the home allowed us to accomplish what the homeowner wanted.
