This client was looking own a new home in Otsego. Most of the homes looked like a typical spec home and the Miller's wanted something a little different. Castle Rock had designed a one story bungalow style home that cought there eye. We wanted the front of the home to be inviting so we incorporated a front porch and pulled it forward so it was not hidden by the three stall garage. We also wanted to have the architectural features of a bungalow style home so the roof was sloped forward and a dormer added to the front. The inside we wanted to incorporate an open plan in the main living space of this bungalow as well as incorporating green technologies. The foundation of the home was built with ICF pored concrete foundation system and incorporated high efficiency heating and cooling systems. All finish materials were either natural materials or made of recycled materials.
