Before starting CastleRock Companies, Inc. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Interior Design and Architecture. I spent the next 25 years working for a number of architectural and design firms in Wisconsin and Minnesota. They include: BKPV & Associates, Wilson & Associates, Pink Co., and Interior Systems Inc. The majority of my work was designing Law offices in down town Minneapolis. I was responsible for Interior Design, Architecture and Project Management on many of the projects.

Our History

I started CastleRock Companies, Inc. after completing a large addition to my home. It was at that point I realized that I found my true calling. Being able to both design and build a structure was the ultimate challenge for me. During the construction of our addition I had several neighbors stop by and ask me to work on their house next. So I decided to take them up on their offer and that was the start of CastleRock Companies, Inc.

Since the formation of CastleRock Companies, Inc., we have completed over 100 projects both small and large. Some of our projects are repairs from fire, water or structural damage, while the majority of our work involves additions and major renovations. CastleRock Companies, Inc. has also been involved with a number of commercial office projects which involved the expansion or build out of a number of office spaces. Our latest project involved the conversion of a home to office that was listed as a historic structure in Wayzata. Please see additional office remodeling projects.

My goal is to keep my customers happy. If you are looking for an honest contractor who is hands-on, easy to work with and treats your project as a priority, then you have found the right company. We complete projects faster and better than our competition. We employ only the most skilled craftsmen who have an attention to detail. Like our own employees, we only hire the most skilled sub contractors who respond to our requests for service. Our goal is to complete your project as quickly as possible with the highest of quality. We are not a large company and that is by design. I believe that to achieve the highest quality with quick turnaround I need to be involved at every point of the construction process which sometimes includes throwing a hammer around. I am dedicated to your project.

We care about our community

CastleRock also gives back to the community. We are involved and members of the Orono Rotary Club, We have donated hundreds of hours and dollars to 4 Community Theatre of which I serve as Chairman of the Board. I have volunteered countless hours to coaching for Orono. I have also been involved with a number of committees and have served on the board of my local Church. We believe in giving back.
